Saves take (a lot) longer during .05?

I am using the Starter Pack 40_05.rev2 with DF 40.05, and saves seem to take minutes now rather than 30 seconds and bam, you're done.

Did anything change with the save process?  I didn't see anything in the changelogs about it for either item...

Is it the same fortress, or a different one?

If the same fortress, it's possible that your starter pack used a different default setting for COMPRESSED_SAVES.

If a different fortress, then it's probably because that world has more stuff in it (more sites, histfigs, historical events, etc.).
