Active world
« on: July 12, 2014, 11:22:30 am »

I'm currently start&retire an adventurer to see if my retired Fortress can survive w/o me for a few years. Could be nice if there an option to fastforward world.

You could create and kill a bunch of adventurers. The world will advance two weeks each time.

It would probably be a lot easier to create a new fortress and wait for a few years, rather than create & kill hundreds of adventurers.

I do wonder one thing about active worlds. Do they build things like roads? Because I like to have start in beginning of time and get nice road into my fortress much later...

That appears to be under the summary for a single person. Was he a retired adventurer? There is a clone bug associated with that.

I retired and returned to a worldgen-ruin-reclaim fortress, only to find out that 1) the outpost liaison had turned hostile and settled in an empty bedroom, 2) the FB that had destroyed the fort was now a 'current resident' and sitting in one of the empty bedrooms, and 3) the elf zombie invasion (necrosiege) who had been milling around for two years or so had finally left...

I wonder if, in the two week meantime, the game decided that the outpost liaision was visiting the FB and not the reclaim party leader...
