New fort, finally got kobold thieves. Child discovers one and it flees around several corners. There are now NO dwarves within line of sight (several corridors distance now), and the fleeing kobold thief triggered the "Thief!" message (with pause) that usually happens when your dwarves encounter a thief. A second kobold thief appeared next to it when this happened. This then happened a second time and a third thief appeared.

The only units in the area were those three kobolds (only one of which was visible due to a child discovering it earlier), so it looks like stealthed thieves are now revealed by their allies if their allies are revealed and fleeing. Anyone else encountered this?

It was sad but not unexpected. It probably ties into either the 'everyone is an unbelievable coward' or 'nobody is on anybody's side anymore' bug. Think of it as the first one just tripped over the other two and blew all their cover. Imagine a trio of cutebolds stumbling over each other to flee from a kid and it gets funnier.

When you put it that way I'm inclined to consider it an unintended feature when it comes to kobolds. I've always seen them as clumsy and stupid, so a fleeing kobold blowing the cover of a friend makes sense.
