"No outpost liason? How curious..."
« on: July 11, 2014, 10:08:49 pm »

I'm currently under attack by a small group of zombies that are just hanging about and wandering the map instead of coming towards my dwarves or doors, and have only gotten 2 migrants over this entire year of my fortress's existence, both from my previous fortress I made on this world.

A caravan just arrived, but with no liason, with the message that is the title of title of this post. The entire caravan has been slaughtered by zombies, so GG zombies and yay free stuff.

Any idea why there's no liason? Could it be that my civilization is extinct? That would explain the lack of migrants as well.

EDIT: Shortly after posting this I got a wave of 9 migrants, so that point is moot.

Since groups are an actual thing now, he probably died en-route.

I was not aware of that! Very interesting.

Perchance a wand'ring caravan will inform you of a peregrine falcon man goring him on the Plains of Unfortuitous Travel Accidents.

In all seriousness though; hello, I am NAME_TRANS, and I am here to dissect fish.

I wonder if you need a negotiator in order for a liason to come and negotiate? He didn't come on my first fort, so I'm trying another with my starting expedition leader/broker being a novice negotiator in addition to novice judge of intent and appraiser.

Nope. I had some with that and he did not show up at the fort.
