Tree took out a wild raven right at start. World corrupted at first migrant wave, but no other deaths yet. (Still have a seasonal backup, not too much time lost.)

Edit: Butchered my two horses. The first caravan brought FPS death and more world corruption. Lost another wild raven and a snow devil (somehow.) Still no dwarves or pets dead yet.

Edit II: New fort for 0.40.03; a dwarf started a strange mood while I was still filling my magma forges. Forge lost power, instant berserk, punched the only cat to death before military took him down.

My first fortress fell after two seasons. A zombie invasion appeared out of nowhere. There was no way I could have possibly been prepared to fend off such an attack.

Dwarf: Running in terror from an elf pumping silver(!) arrows into him, instead of putting that *steel battle axe* to good use.

Animal: Do trolls count as animals?There was a troll in the caverns connected to the ruin I reclaimed. He encountered the aforementioned *steel battle axe*.

EDIT: and now my fortress succumbed to eight damn elves with copper weaponry. All because dwarves with decent equipment and a few points in combat skills are too scared to even defend themselves.
The elves lost three soldiers- when one of my dwarves tantrumed.

I tried to reclaim a world gen fortress first. The resident forgotten beast managed to inflict a syndrom on one of my 2 military dwarves (they never fought, they just ran away). He slowly rotted until he died.

The 2nd fort crashed in autumn.

In my new fortress, the first casulty was a Salt Fiend that has gone missing in the 2nd month.

Reading all this, I am kind of glad I didn't deconstruct the wagon. But only kind of.

Weregecko mauled my engraver and thresher but luckilly it was briefly paralyzed by fear at the sight of a dead owl man so it paused long enough for the latter to live.
