This just Happened:

I was traveling toward a pile that had both a pair of bronze high boots and bronze guantlets in it.
Anybody know if there's neck protection yet?
And if there is, what piece of armor is it?

My first thought was gorgets, sallets with bevors, or mail collars, but I don't think any of those exist. Any could be modded in, though.

Mail armour seems to protect the neck to some extent. I've had some bad luck cutting throats through mail armour.

Wear a scarf.

I think its intentional that necks are difficult to armor, but the size of the neck is too large so its an unintentionally easy target.  In my experience its usually easier to hit than the head.
