Remembering a game... what is it?

Well I tried to search for the "forgot what my game was" topic but apparently its title isn't obvious.

So here I go.

It is a game where you design your character and weapons pixel by pixel and apparently that actually does something.

I remember "3D Dot Game Heroes" where you could design (3d)pixel by pixel, but I don't think the pixels had any actual effect other than cosmetic.

I might be misremembering the "It gives them a power boost" aspect... the game is in 2d though.

Though honestly Magic Pengel and Graffiti Kingdom were fun with the "create your own creature" aspect... too bad Graffiti Kingdom is super easy.

Pixil 2d you set characters in a pattern to gain certain bonuses inside your party screen.
