A good idea for Toady might be to put a few copies for download elsewhere for the first day or two to reduce server overload.

@Footjob, you can microwave most grains I've tried pretty easily through the microwave, even if they aren't packaged for it.

I don't fully understand why, in the age of bittorrent, the downloads and torrent files can't be spread around a bit to ease the pain....  :-\

Some people just don't trust torrents.

No I do not have a particularly good reason. I think I'm becoming one of those stereotypical old guys who don't trust new technology.  Except generation X, or Y or whatever my generation was called.

Some people just don't trust torrents.

The people that didn't want to use torrents would be welcome to try to use the regular download. It's just weird to me to see people talking about how difficult it will be to get hold of this file. I mean, tens of millions of people download Game of Thrones episodes via torrents the second each episode comes out...and that's just via torrent, nothing official....  :-\

Its because there was a big update released at an obscure time with no warning, and it crashed the website within a short amount of time.

You misspelled seance.  Are possessing Draignean?  Are you actually a ghost in the shell? You have to tell us if you are, that's the rule

I'd assume this big update released at a pretty well designated time with a month of warning will lead to more crashes, not less...

I am still traumatised by DF 2010 and the tsunami of bugs that overwhelmed me.

The bug hunt results in hilarity though!

I won't download a torrent of an official package unless it's either linked from the official website or someone posts the hash of the official package so I can confirm it hasn't been tapered with.
