After reading all the stuff here http://unknownworlds.com/blog/beware-shady-key-resellers-and-discount-steam-keys/ and even the note on one of those key sites saying it's on your own risk because you may get banned for buying/selling steam gifts I decided to refrain from using key sellers (especially if you get it as a gift then)... steam prices are much cheaper compared to my whole account being banned.

EuchreJack: I take it you've never been kicked off a multiplayer game network or lost a game due to some jerk with a keygen generating your key and using it to take your game from you? If you use a keygen with a multiplayer game, for multiplayer, you're a terrible person.
Oh hey. This has actually happened to me, with a physical copy of Civ 5 which was a gift due to seasonal holidays so yeah. Its a pretty terrible thing honestly. I mean honestly, I wouldn't mind paying like the normal retail price of a game, simply because it means that it doesnt screw some random person somewhere in the world.
Really, it has happened to 2 people just here?

I thought the chances of a key generator spitting out a valid multiplayer key is infinitely small.

Just putting this out there: the Australian games being overpriced is mostly exaggeration, the reason games cost more is because Australians make more money by far. The minimum wage is more than double that of the US.

Computers are fast, nowadays. And if you get a botnet doing it for you...

Actually, I hardly ever play multiplayer.  So I apologize for even advising regarding it.  And with that, I'm bowing out of this conversation.

I think any games company that gives you easily replicatable keys is also terrible.
