Could I be the wax worker? I'd like Jyrgal as my name

Tun the Waxworker has given birth to a boy, right at her workshop where she was carving stuff of buffalo horns. And just after that she asked Brainy Smurf to write her down as Jyrgal.

I really thought that fever of nicknaming have gone, but... Okay, it seems harmless though annoying when you have to remember a new name each time you talk with him.

It's autumn here.

One of cage traps have captured a rattlesnake. Not a thrall, not a zombie. Alive. Monom whom I volunteered for being in charge for animals come out with great idea of taming it. Why not, I said.

Now we have a semi-wild rattlesnake. And Monom came out with an even more crazy idea...

A giant olm got a bad habit of scaring away our web collectors, so I tracked him down and stabbed with my spear. Another source of meat and leather.

Great Idea of Thralls Taming turned into a waste of good food. Don't know how Monom managed to feed that beast, but he did it. Probably he just stuffed the hen with pieace of meat. But now he have given up.

Avuz slowly digging the tunnel to the goods that enthralled caravan dropped. I plan to reclaim them all - we need everything!

Oh shit.

To arms! To arms!

Oh. Damn it, Monom, that was a nice shot. You deserve something for that deed, don't know what exactly, but that's for sure. You've just saved us all.

Masons have barricaded the cavern where that beast came from, so no one will come there again.

Avuz dug a hole ffor under the pile of goods and now it's accessible! Hooray, let's bring everything inside!

And suddenly, Kaladin got a secretive mood! An artifact piece of furniture is is, that's it! I hope for a statue or a throne... but anything is fine. And that's goodwe reclaime that pile, since there's the only bar of trifle pewter that Kaladin needs.

Sorry for long delay, I was attending  a most dwarven party I ever had...

Kaladin finally made his secret project. A statue of anaconda beast!

Though scary it should be set in our dinig hall! And Kaladin is a legendary mason now.

A few lucky goblin thieves tired to sneak in. They successfully evaded the soot and undeads, but ended their travel in the cage. That's what I call a bad luck.

Suddenly, a caravan and a liaison came! Caravan leftheir wagons behind - that's because I made a mistake when designing cage traps. Not a big one, we just need to dig a single corner out.

I ordered all the stuff to be carried at the depot. Monom the broker constructs the gate that will seal us away from the surface...

Oh noes. Monom met ann undead bodypiece and bravely attacked it. But since is was conpletely covered with soot, its first grabbing attack transformed poor Monom into a thrall! We're lucky there were cage traps when the transformation started, so, now we have a cage with dwarf thrall. Shit, that's when we need a broker to trade!

- Urist, stop weeping. Your pet chick now is a thrall. you can't get it free!
- NO! That's my Rovod! Little Rovod with brown feathers! Give me a cage, he'll know me!
- We have no cages, Urist. Shut up!

Everyone's here is "almost killed" three times already. Except for those who is aclually killed - that crossbow guy for example.

After a long bargain Bim Hatchetplunged, who replaced poor Monom, took all wood they had and some useful things. Also Avuz dug another hole under pile of goodl left from previous caravan, so we've got another pick!

Traders left, but for some reason they moved to the east, right at the undead sea. I'm worried about them, but I think they know what they're doing...

Look like not. They met a group of zombies, their guard was enthralled and the merchand ended with his brains sucked out.

A liaison also made his agreements and left, heading north. Come one, where are you going, idiot? There's no way except flooded beach and there are a lot of evil stuff there!

Meanwhile, we discovered another cavern, full of trees and spider webs. Als, we've found cassiterite. Not very useful without copper, though.

The cage of Monom The Hero Thrall was installed at the dining hall. Urist still tries to do something with his thrall pet - I don't know what exactly, but he just puts it from one cage into another, and again and again. Someday I'll just throw that cage into smasher, or throw Urist there as well!!!

No more complainings about caged pet thrall. With clever design of hatch, doors, levers and fail-back cage trap we threw that chick into smasher. With other thralls as well - they proved to be unsuitanle for traiding, since they escape from cage just when you bring them into depot. Garavan axedwarf guard hacked that louse man thrall in halves, so no damage were made. But anyway, I won't sell any thralls anymore. Lets think of something less dangerous to export.

We are expanding deeper. At every cavern we open we built a safety airlock to hold back the hordes of cavern dwellers. I think everything is fine and can take a nap.

- Eisenkreuz, there's a jabberer jumped out of lake! It bit my baby's hand!!!
- Don't worry, we'll take care of it! Guys, attack!!!

Zasit mumbling in the dreams: - MmMm.. that's a really gorgeous silk hood... mmMMMmm

Urist Tiptrade, Planter and thralls petter was unhappy and scared, but gathered his courage and ran to weapon stockpile: - I n-n-need a weapon to fight! Oh.. there've been an axe! I've seen it! Aha, here it is!

Die you ugly beast!!!!

Oops...

We are pretty fucked up.

Deep in the caverns:

Avuz the miner: - I gues I should just tear down that stair and never return. Never liked that Zasit, actually.

So begins the story of Avuz Narrowring, Legendary Miner and Quakewheeled Last Survivor

Short summary of current situation
Avuz the Legendary Miner is deep down, cut the main stairs off and has the most potential to survive down at the caverns.
The settlement is infested by thralls, a few last survivors are trying to hide away from them.
I have no idea how long this lasts, but will try to endure.

Avuz kicked the boulder that used to be a stair before and sat to think about the situation
- Lets face the bitter truth. I'm down here all alone, with nothing but my pick in hand. I'm safe for now, but hunger and thrist will get me for sure, and I must to do something about it. I can seek for plants at caverns and try to plant and gather them... Or I can make a passage into our old stockpile and never worry about food or drink. Yes, I do that. Digging is my destiny, I am the most skilled miner  ever!

An unwanted guest joined the party

Go ahead, topsy, feel home and have fun.

The last three survivors stood insidethe food storage. Brainy who looked quite content for the situation, Edem the wood burner who just woke up, grabbed her things and made in, little Rovod who've just lost a whole family - mom, dad, brother and little sister, and Kaladin who've just jumped in seconds ago.
- So, what should we do next? - asked Brainy drilling others with her glaze.
- Eat! - said Kaladin pushing a huge plump helmet in her mouth
- We're quite safe here. Let's calm down and develop a plan - replied Edem who took the title of expedition leader after Zasit died
- Not so safe. I've seen a huge beast who came from caverns, and I don't think doors are hard enough to hold it. - Kaladin said
- Damn it. We have nothing to barricade the entrance with, and no pick either.
A scratching sound came from far corner, resulting in a wall crushing down into pieces
- Who asked for pick? - Grim face of Avuz showed uo from the dust.

Four survivors and a child (who's mostly annoying Edem) are trying to settle at the second cavern. Avuz have dug a hall and Kaladin is making stone furniturem with short breaks for tantrum, of course. At least she makes descent furniture, so the mood will rise someday.

Topsy, who've ben fighting with enthralled Bembul have finally torn thrall's head off and now is playing in the cavern lake. Maybe it help us to get rid of thralls?

- Hello? Is it Quakewheeled, the cavern settlement?
Oh, welcome, guys. Don't mind the thralls... or actually, DO mind them.

After a moths or two of running and crawling a few migrants made into old cavern.

- Looks like every thrall got into cage! It's quite safe here
They teared down the wall that blocked the entrance into food stockpile, and suddenly Jyrgal's skeleton arises!
- Oh goddamit! Not only thralls, but undeads too!

Avuz after seing the rotten corpses of her cmpanions gone completely insane and now runs around babbling. Others restored the wall that blocks the doors and now having a break th the food stockpile. The situation repeats with other characters
