Track Traps, how do they work?
« on: May 17, 2014, 06:41:26 pm »

I recently decided to play with minecarts, specifically for hilarious defense purposes. I stumbled upon mention of Spiked-track traps and similar, yet cannot find any documentation on how they work anywhere? Does anyone have any real input on them and their function? Rather curious now.

Further question, how 'efficient' are minecarts at creating FUN against invaders? Any major flaws you've noticed with using them for defense? And yes, I'm aware of dwarves and their tendencies to run in front of deadly, fatal moving objects. I consider that part of the reason I'm studying minecarts. Natural selection! ;)

I dont have much experience with them personally, but you might want to check out Becordobar. It's a masterwork community fort that focused almost exclusively on elaborate mechanical traps, including two minecart grinders.
