Mutant miner: is it out there?
« on: May 31, 2014, 10:52:00 am »

I know that before Dwarf Fortress, there was a game called Mutant Miner, turn based game inspired by Miner VGA, but besides these hints, I haven't found it anywhere. My question: Is it out there, or is it lost in the echos of the internet, dead and buried?

As far as I know, Tarn never released it. He could still have the source code, but it's (presumably) been more than a decade since he stopped working on it. You can probably get an answer in the Future of the Fortress thread or possibly in the next DF Talk. Good luck!

Think of it like Sim City, except with rival mayors that seek to destroy your citizens by arming legions of homeless people and sending them to attack you.
