Problem with fonts

Requesting some help regarding fonts. I use the default font, but a big problem I run into is if I use any non-vanilla GUI, the font gets really weird. Zeros get replaced with tombstones, S's turn into S looking symbols, etc. For instance, if I go into the u-l screen to manage my dwarves, the front changes from normal nice looking font to really confusing sprite based fonts. Same goes for workflow GUI's. Is there anyway to fix this? While playing DF using LNP, I never ran into this problem

the "weird" font, is the games default font. The nice looking font, is the TrueType font. Default font is hard coded to use certain letters as sprites. Default ascii graphics, a 0 is used as a coffin. Alot of the different graphics packs out there change most of those characters to look like what the sprite is supposed to be. Hence, the 0 turns into a tiny coffin with a cross on it, to draw your attention "Hey, look at me! I am somebodies grave!"

The problem is, alot of the dfhack plugins that add extra GUI stuff, like workflow, and the built in version of Therapist, etc, DONT use truetype.

Does that make sense? I hope it does, because im half asleep atm.

Is there any way to make it use truefont? LNP managed to do it, so I'd imagine Masterwork would be able to too.

LNP does not and DFHack cannot.

You can use tilesets that dont use text for graphics that much, like the ascii based ones.. cla, jollybastion, spacefox..
