There's a song I heard on the radio one time and the lyrics are basically: vaaain VAAAAIN said repeatedly and I remember one part goes "is it any wonder!".  The problem is that a lot of songs feature the word vain, and a lot have the phrase "is it any wonder".

That is all I can remember.  Herein is attached me kind of approximating what it sounds like.  Most of the song is just them saying the word vain (or a word like it??? because I can't find it using these lyrics) over and over in different tones.

Anybody know the name of this song???

Also in the past month I've probably spent like 2 hours searching for it unsuccessfully.

You sure it's not "fame"?  Sounds like David Bowie's Fame to me.

Thank you!   With the electric effects it still sounds like vain to me though.
