How bout something else entirely? I think the best solution would be a system that's very diverse, and has room for many different possibilities. So some people could live as in capitalism, others as in socialism, etc. I have my ow personal peferences as to what I wish to live in, but that's much more complicated to explain.

We sort of already have that, various countries with all sorts of different economic and social systems. There are some issues with this though. For example, some capitalist groups are going to be annoyed that that socialist group is impacting their profits, Some socialist groups are going to be annoyed that the capitalists are polluting the enviroment and thus cause them problems etc. So this live-and-let-live attitude is made more complex when a group see the other group's system as negatively impacting them (and to make things more complicated, its possible that they may actually have a valid point).

I have my own personal preferences as to what I wish to live in.
I want people to pay me to sit and be creative, but not creative in order to sell things.

I would actually like to see something like that on a small scale. Have a bunch of settlements that are perfectly isolated from each other and self-sustainable, with varied economic and political systems set up, and monitored by a neutral third party to maintain the non-interaction.

That would only work for ideology that agree with self-sustainability though. For example, some forms of capitalism are specifically against self-sustainability (believing that countries reliant on each other are less likely to go to war, or that certain goods can should be manufactured in the country most suited to it etc).

Other than that it would be interesting to see what happens.
