Adding a new race

I'd like to add my own personal race to MWDF. I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say it's more complicated than adding a race to vanilla DF when you consider the launcher and custom buildings and whatnot. My main question is how do I get a custom race to be selectable in the launcher? Some general advice would also be appreciated.

The answer would take quite a while. I would re ommend to learn basic modding first.

I already know how to mod DF as well as other games. I've made a few custom races for vanilla in the past. My question is specific to Masterwork.

Since adding a new race into MDF is exactly the same as adding a race into vanilla DF, I dont see any issues then.

But you cant add anything to the launcher, its already compiled. And written in Visual Basics.

So I can't toggle the race from the launcher, and I'd have to move the files manually. Thanks anyway.

Adding the actual raws is easy enough, but figuring out where to save the custom graphics is a bit of a headscratcher. Say I'm using the Masterwork: Obsidian tileset. Where would I save graphics for a custom race?
