Given that in Dwarf Fortress, it shows the families of your citizens up to their grandparents, does it show great-grandparents if such a thing is achieved?

Not to my knowledge. I have dwarfs immigrate with a huge (off-site) family tree listed, and their children will note their parents' parents as grandparents, but the parents' grandparents fall off the list.

Yeah, no grand-grandparents for you... I like this way, I have migrant cap at 30, and entire families live in the fortress... Just think on the size of the tantrum spiral!
