CJS CD Keys has the game for 18GBP or $30USD which is just about right! They are region free Steam keys and I have purchased over 40 games from them and never have had an issue. I don't make anything from it(in case you don't know me), I just want to help you avoid risking $50 on this game. No link, out of respect.

Personally when someone complains Darksouls is too hard i recommend them to view a 180minute speed run http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owRa6kcHkN0  or if you really want to make fun of them http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9ymysN3qQ8 which is a 90minute speed run
This is my "go to" video in those cases.

Also i don't think speedruns are valid when talking about how "hard" is a game. Morrowind could be completed in minutes, Fallout 1 and 2 were both completed in less than 10 minutes and mario 64 has speedruns that are over in 5 minutes 33 seconds... so yeah.

Yeah, speedruns are completely disconnected from game difficulty.
They exploit every single known bug, practice a single section dozens of times, etc.
I remember a HL2 speedrun where an entire chapter is skipped through some insane bunnyhopping.

Honestly by now I just want Thief 1&2 HD. Croteam were geniuses to release Serious Sam HD, so why can't more people follow? Why can't I have my Sacrifice HD  :'(

Still though, I actually really liked Thief 3 which means I'll probably also like THIAF or whatever they're calling it now.

One thing that's bothering me is that all these screenshots are way too light. I want to creep unseen through the shadows, not ambush people from rooftops.

In game you can make it really dark. just put out all lights. then you would complain you cant see what your doing

The game isnt BAD, but dissapointing nonetheless. There are so many missed opportunities and a few serious downgrades from the previous installments, that the upgrades and improvements cant quite balance out.

First of all, my biggest issue with the game is the Level size. Even if you dont compare it to Thief 2, the Levels feel too linear and small to really get me excited. Its especially dissapointing since the movement is really nicely done, I allways felt that Garreet was a bit to stiff in 1&2 and the new one fixes that nicely. But the missed opportunity of huge explorable Levels to use it in still remains.

The Guards have some Bugs in the current version, but nothing major. I had to up the difficulty quite a bit until it actually felt like they were there at all tough, but after the adjustment, the Game was suffiecently challenging. I turned off most of the Focus-stuff since it just felt like cheating on most cases. :D

The NPC's in the missions are also sub-par. Looping Dialogues and nothing really exciting to overhear or discover. The same with most loot you can get. It doesnt feel like an achievement to get most part of the goodies, it feels like increasing a high score or checking down a list. A lot of siderooms and the like are just containers for a bit of coin, and while that pleases the completionist in me, it feels very boring after a while.

All in all, it isnt offensive, the pure sneaking and getting past a difficult Level undetected is still satisfying. But the current price tag is waaaay too much for what you get, its too bland and adds too little. I'd sincerely recommend the game if it was 15-20 Bucks, but not three times that. So just wait for a Sale and then get it.
