Help me find some brutal, stompy electronic music!
« on: February 18, 2014, 11:08:24 pm »

I'm really struggling with this one. I visited a Metroflex in Long Beach a couple weeks back for a charity event, and all the way from outside the gym I could hear the music, and it left an immediate impression. I'm trying to find something similar, but honestly I can't even find something that comes close as an example for you guys. I'm in need of some brutal shit to recreate that environment in my garage gym, I'm talking cyborg BDSM rape dungeon music, preferably with none or limited amounts of vocals, throbbing and stomping bass, etc. Give me the evilest stuff you've got. If I find something on my own I'll edit (or possibly bump if appropriate) this OP/thread.

As a guy who likes EVIL ANGRY STOMPY ELECTRONIC MUSIC, i am surprised at how few of such songs i actually have. Nevertheless, Heet Seas makes some, more specifically Kink Drop and POAWL. There's also Ablation Cascade by Hamster Alliance, which is rather dark and angry. Oh yeah also, Descent 2 has some very angry tracks as well, but that's not very electronic.

I can think of one track that might be up your alley: "Painkiller Introduction" by Professional Murder Music.  The rest of their stuff is not the same as that song, unfortunately.

I ended up adding a few of their songs to my gym playlist, but the problem with Hardcore is that it seems like every single song has the same beat.

Whoah, those vids are pretty crazy. Not exactly what i've got in mind for the gym, but I'll still listen to it.

POAWL and Kink Drop are pretty cool. It doesn't pound the same way that the stuff I originally heard did but I still really like it and added it to my playlist.

How evil do you wanna go  ;)? Maybe check out some Industrial music. Most of this has vocals, but is still danceable:

None of these really did it for me TBH, don't really see how any of it is danceable. Spooky though.

THIS!

LMFAO

Those are nice and fast, but not quite what i'm looking for. I like DnB but it's something i'd probably listen to outside of the gym.

I like it! Added.

Thanks everyone who contributed! Here's a couple of tracks I dug up. I'm not sure i'm ever going to find EXACTLY what I want but at least i've got some material to work with now.
Title - Artist: Link
Dark Rain - Current Value: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WURSHMot-vY
Fear/Machine (Demo Duomix) - Current Value: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfqelafePO8
Killing Machine - Counterstrike: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-sD42hkfDc   (KILL KILL KILL KILL)
Closer - Matta: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZ-ifHU3184
Grin - Current Value: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTG-VwEMR6g
I really like Current Value but there's no sense in posting everything from one artist. Anyways, I'll keep an eye on this thread and post if I find anything else that's good.
