I decided to get back into writing again, after I made a disaster of my last work (unorganized, threw ideas as I thought of them). But now that I want to write again, I need a new world to come up with. So like the great "lets make a setting" thread (I wish I had a link to it) I decided the best place to look was on bay12 (because no one makes a good world like the insane bay12 community! Love you guys and your ideas!)
There are several aspects I had specifically placed just to get started. I will list them as we go. Please try and categorize them so its easier to keep them organized and add them here.
Restrictions on suggestions:
1) The world must be stable and habitable (no acid rain, etc.)
2) Do not try to contradict other ideas placed
3) This is a medieval fantasy world, so please, no guns or heavy technology
4) Avoid going overboard on the dark aspects, but feel free to have dark elements
Races:
Humans - Just like the real ones
Draconic blood/marked ones - humans born with a mark on a certain part of their body in the shape of a dragon's talon/wing/fang. Depending on the symbol, they are born with a special power. If this symbol is struck by a weapon that pierces or cuts it, their blood takes on a strange color (usually green-blue tint with red) and the longer it takes for them to stop the bleeding, the weaker and more normal they become, even getting to a point where they can loose their power forever. Most draconic bloods are born by other draconic bloods, but on rare occasions, there are some born without parentage or ancestry of draconic blood and gain the mark. There are not very many of them, and despite their name, their history has no ties to dragons; only their marks gave this name.
Talon-born are unnaturally fast and strong and are usually warriors. They are usually known to be berserkers and furious fighters. They posess no other unnatural power and are the more common of the draconic blood
Wing-born have stronger, fairer skin and have the power of being able to hover and fly a short distance with the magic in their blood. These are deemed the rarest of the marked ones, and is considered good luck to meet one. They also are well known to become great magic users in any field of their choice.
Fang-born are deemed the most crazed of the marked ones. Their power ranges from being able to breath fire to spewing poison at their enemies. These ones also bear a colored mark and that mark defines the power that they posses. There are rumors that some fang-born are able to resist power and elements of their color (red=fire, blue=water, white=ice, black=poison, green=wind, etc.).
Monsters:
Dragons - There are several roaming the world still, but the strongest, the grand dragons, are the strongest and oldest. They can speak almost any language if they are old enough to learn it. They are known to be immortal until killed, and each of their scale colors and body types represent what kind of dragon they are (similar to fang-born). Red are the most common of dragons, and are able to breath fire. They are also the strongest physically. Blue dragons, also known as sea dragons, are only found inside bodies of water. Though they can go on land, they choose to stay in the depths. They don't breath an element, but they can control waves and create whirlpools. They are serpentine and have long, thin forearms and no legs. They cannot fly, but they can breathe underwater. White dragons can fly, but their wings and their arms and legs are tied together so they can maneuver through blizzards easily. They breath a cold breath that can chill even the warmest homes. They are very secluded and will usually avoid people, and are deemed the wisest of the dragons. They will only ever attack places they deem are "wicked". They are always seen in the peaks of mountains or in the northern regions. Black dragons, unlike their white brethren, will attack anything that isn't their ilk or their allies. They live in any area that bears no life, either by them killing it or they found it that way. A good way to know there are black dragons about is that it is very barren. Some are found in deserts and wastelands, but they will go anywhere if they want. Their breath is poisonous and they have horns and spines that run down its shoulders and back. A single prick would hold enough venom to kill a human within seconds. There are not many black dragons left after the dragon wars. Green dragons are almost always in flight, and their arms and wings are one. They can create massive gusts and their screech can deafen ears as if it was a sonic-boom. They are usually high in the sky preying on birds and the like, and they hardly ever come low enough to notice, let alone attack villages.

Legends:
-The world is just a chunk in a vast ocean. If you sail out far enough, eventually you reach a gradient where the seas fade away and the horizon begins, and you enter space. From there if you sail out to the sun, you find it's a giant candle with mystical keepers living on the island of cooled wax at the base. The moon is a candle that has gone out and is now just cold wax. Why? Nobody knows.
Major Events:
The Dragon War:
There was a great and terrible war where the black dragons, and their allies, tried to destroy the world. The white dragons were the major stopping power against them, though many other races, not just dragons, were in the war. Many black dragons were killed, and eventually, there were so few left, they had to end their killing for many years. All black dragons born after this time grew more cruel then ever before.
