Fantasy Locations
« on: January 17, 2014, 12:34:37 am »

Anyone ever had a pretty awesome coincidence where fantasy locations in movies/books become places in you're game? happened to me just recently, I started a world and while looking for a place to call home, I come across this mountain in the middle of a forest/plains area. So I look at the name of it and to my shock its called "The Lone Mountain" which in-case you don't know (Which I'm sure you do) that "The Lonely Mountain" is the city/fortress which Bilbo and crew have to take back from the dragon Smaug in "The Hobbit" just thought I would share this with you all, anyone else ever had this?

I once had an evil desert surrounded with mountains and volcanoes. There were a lot of goblin towers. I had to create an adventurer just to simply walk into Mordor.

Too bad it wasn't just a single volcano not too far from a Necromancer's tower.  Some day...what's that about Monkeys and typewriters?

Now you come to mention it wouldn't it be hilarious if somebody modded in recreations of fantasy realms?
Adding Aragon and Legolas to your party and go wipe out Minas Tirith.
Finding Prince Jeoffery and breaking all his limbs.
Playing through Elder Scrolls with DF combat would be entertaining by itself.
Settle down the road from Anch Morpork.
All sorts of silly things! Get to it modders.

Finding Prince Jeoffery and breaking all his limbs.

C'mon, Joffrey isn't that bad. He'd be a perfect fortress overseer!
