My Hammer Dwarf is in a coma?
« on: December 31, 2013, 12:15:57 am »

After an ambush, one of my Hammer Dwarves sustained a broken rib and 'dented upper body' :o  She went to sleep in the Barracks and hasn't left in ~2 weeks.  I know my Hospital zone is working, because another of the injured went straight there with a busted hand, and was patched up in just a few days.  I have multiple Traction Benches & Beds, plus 3 chests filled with materials, including a large bag of gypsum plaster I bought from the Caravan.  So I'm rather at a loss here.  Any suggestions are welcome.

If you deconstructing the bed from underneath him that might force him to go to the medical area or be transported to the medical area for treatment. Its a glitch I've run in to, sometimes the dwarf will collapse in to their bed and then never leave until they heal or die. Other then that, I don't know.

Yeah I noticed this once too. In my case, a Hammerdwarf got stabbed multiple times by a master theif, and ran to his bed to rest. He remained there until the fort fell, a few years later. It seemed to be a case of his scars causing him too much pain, but I can't be sure.
