If you manage to temporarily kill them, magma burns the corpse just fine

Wait what? I don't get how this is relevant. Does not being able to grasp insta kill zombies or something?

I am pretty sure you can still get a zombie hand without the fingers.

Necromancers or terrain reanimates anything that had 'head' or 'grasp'. Hair and skin (aside from the whole head if decapitated) had a connection to the head and possibly a grasp item, so reanimate.

If a hand has the grasp tag, independently of the fingers, it'll be eligible for reanimation even if all fingers are chopped off.
