Dwarf Obsessions normal?

Is it normal to have dwarves who are obsessed over weird things? Like I have a dwarf who is obviously obsessed with dead badger bodies. He keeps bringing them into his bedroom and piles them up. So is this a part of the simulation or is this just a weird stockpile bug?

And he keeps taking them back from the garbage pile. This isn't supposed to happen. I designated the bodies to be dumped in the garbage pile several times but the bodies keep coming back to the room.

Do you have a garbage zone accidentally set up in the bedroom? If there's a hole in the ceiling, do you have one on a z-level above the bedroom?

Being a dwarf he would have gotten smacked in the head with the badger. 100% of the time.
