Say, can I actually play a different character? I realized playing mine will probably not be very interesting (as it requires me to fight players). Can I play a different one instead? Had a much better idea.

Inventory: the Unblinking Eyes of Skibbin - two bright blue glass eyes that grant the user both normal vision and the ability to make things suddenly explode of their own accord with a thought as well as call down lightning from the heavens.
Lore about them: Eim was born 213 years ago in a home that was placed on a tree - as soon as he was born, it was clear that he was blessed. In the first week of his life, lightning struck his home, setting it on fire and killing his parents, though Eim himself was left unscathed - well, relatively anyway. By the time he was a young lad of 50 years, he had been struck by lightning no less than 5 times, and this trend continued well into the next century - knowing himself to be at the center of some kind of curse, Eim went on a journey to find something that could help him - and after more than a century of searching and fifteen more personal lightning strikes, he found the Unblinking Eyes of Skibbin, the divine treasure of the slumbering goddess of lightning and things going boom. Knowing exactly what to do, he replaced his own eyes with them, and found that he both began to see things very differently and came into contact with a being far beyond what he had expected - the goddess had beckoned him, and now it was time to do her bidding.
Appearance: a middle-aged elf with long hair, pointy chin and a shaved head - he looks quite scarred, and one can see Lichtenberg figures on the exposed bits of his skin - some are merely tattooed on, but most are actual scars. He wears an armored blue robe and carries around a very large shield as well as a sharpened lightning rod.

If that works, seek out a village and teach them how coal is mined.
