Is it possible that target does not exist
« on: December 07, 2013, 09:32:38 am »

I was tasked to kill dwarf vampire, who allegedly resides in dwarven settlement, that obviously is not represented in game. Is it possible that I can't kill said vampire because she does not exist on map?

Cool, but wouldn't this likely lead to tongues having a '[SPEACH]' tag, and thus via necromancy we would have nearly unkillable reanimated tongues following necromancers spamming 'it is sad but not unexpected'?

The dwarven settlement should exist, but as just undeveloped terrain with no buildings.

I'd expect it to be easier to find the vampire with no walls hiding him, assuming you can find people standing around there at all.

Do you mean that the settlement is nonexistent? Look on your quest screen and see if you are on the same square as it, maybe places have similar names.

It once took me the upwards of 30 minutes to find a vampire in a settlement because all the dwarves said he lived in different hourses, but eventually I did (And it was pretty cool to watch all the villagers pile up on the 2000 or so kill beast.)

Otherwise, the vampire may have died some other way. If that happened, I don't know what to say.

Marker led me to empty field, marked by statue symbol on global map and lair-like dot on travel map.

When I was standing there TSK was marking this statue symbol direction to which was *** (Which means, I am there, right?)

Only thing I could guess is that it's undergound. Look for any holes in the area, especially 1x1 holes, and go down them.

You won't find any entrances to the underground.

There are no dwarven sites in this version. No elven or goblin sites either. They were in previous versions of the game, but were taken out because they needed to be reworked.

Dwarves, elves, and goblins still own territories, but nothing will be built on them and you will not find any civilians, and quest targets in those areas will not be accessible.

If you're lucky though, they can be in a lair close by.

Well, expecting a lair was my first thought, but I didn't find any. Sadly, I wandered off site and died, so I can't come back search again.

Physically, where are they? Caverns?
