Export an Adventurer
« on: December 09, 2013, 05:24:22 am »

I feel it would be pretty fantastic if it was possible to export a successful adventurer from a less desirable world to another, possibly larger, or more difficult one. Keeping your skills, attributes and equipment, but not fame or companions.

I know it's almost impossible to bleed a world dry of adventure, unless you're in a very small world, but it would be nice to change things up a bit, and get a new flavour, especially if you want to continue after a small or very small world has run its course.

The main idea in play here is to avoid worlds running out of their course. Fleshing out post-worldgen mechanics so that more stuff keep happening is due for the next release, and while some worlds may have less incidents in their history, further improvements in AI might keep you glued to your adventurer or even doing several ones, like thieves or merchants.

Eh.

It doesn't really fit. In the nigh-mythic 1.0, adventurers will come from somewhere. How would an adventurer exported from one world fit into another?
