Does bloody mess have negative effect?

my 100 dwarf fort got reduced to 1 due to tons of infighting and there's blood everywhere. Does all this blood cause any sort of negative effect?

i do believe that dwarves are not terribly fond of blood everywhere. just don't be like me and flood your fortress to clean it up... and take out the entire outside world in the process.

I just found out that invaders can pull levers in your fortress... goodbye farm plot...fortunately I like to put lots of doors. ... unfortunately the access door to the farm was jammed open... it also looks like invaders can take over your doors and not let you forbid them.

More importantly, will flooding your fortress actually clean up the blood?  The river doesn't ever seem to get any less bloody...
