They can walk around underwater. I don't really see how their inability to swim could be exploited in this scenario, but I suppose I should just wait and see and be tremendously impressed.

Well you could actually flood it then drop some magma down for a fancy obsidian cast. But the shiny spoilerite item might not survive.

It's more a combination of how weak skulls are and how strong shoes are. It's not uncommon for a falling sock to cave in a dwarf's skull.

Yeah, skulls in this release are more like papier-mâché than bone. Pretty much every death after someone goes unconscious is through getting their skull punched or kicked in. Either that or everyone has brass knuckles and toes :P

Okay so the flooding doesn't work because it just sorta loses pressure after a time.

However another event did happen, a dump zone I had outside decided to go rogue after a few of my dwarves passed a few tiles "under" it, sending a bunch of rocks rolling down the hill, breaking one's arm and hitting the other in the spine, suffocating him shortly.

...Can't wait to engrave that and find it in legends.
