Cutbacks in protecting the Nuclear Power Plant?
« on: September 03, 2013, 12:35:01 am »

I remember at one point that whenever you tripped the alarm at the power plant and waiting around to long the army would respond, but now its only the police. Am I remembering wrong about the military responding, or did it use to happen like that one point, and if so, any idea why it was changed?

I've never messed with the nuclear plant too much, but maybe it's only when you hit the big red button? You can trip the alarm just by failing to pick a lock, which doesn't warrant as serious a response as nearly causing a meltdown.

Well, the NPP is technically corporate-owned, not military.  As such it's more a SWAT thing.

(Which means that raiding its armory ought to be Terrorism, not Treason, IMO.)

So I guess Im wrong about it being a military response before? To be honest I think the military should respond over cops, and even SWAT would be better than just the police arrive.

I think it would be neat for a combination of genetic monsters and mutants to respond to attacks on the Nuclear Power Plant. Just because... the Nuclear Power Plant's radiation is the source of all their powers, and they don't like it when anyone messes with the source of their powers.

That would be cool. Maybe if they spawned around there to, so you could recruit them there to, since they really is actually only one place you can get them, and it isn't the easiest/safest place.

Hmm.  Mutants, perhaps.  Genetic Monsters, those are engineered in the Lab, not the Nuke Plant.

Besides, I'm not sure the folks with all 1s for stats think they should protect the place.  Not really sold on the idea, sorry.  :-/

Yeah, I did kind of forget about the mutant limited range of skills, and I guess it really wouldn't make sense to spawn them there, but still, mutants would be cool to spawn there.
