Minimization in fullscreen mode (Windows)

I like to play DF in full screen mode, but whenever I try to minimize the game (while it's running), it just shows the taskbar, while the game itself stays "on top". Is there some way to remedie this?

Yes, but I don't know anything about programming the windows loop.  I can take a look at it.
