Temporarily disable cave-ins?
« on: September 04, 2013, 06:16:32 pm »

I've run up against a bug, whereby water that freezes (due to the onset of winter) halfway down a waterfall hangs indefinitely in mid-air, but if I ever forget to check for it and save while it's suspended, it caves in as soon as I load the save.  Right now my save is at a point where as soon as I unpause, it caves in and destroys a rather nice artifact chain that I have displayed in my meeting room under the waterfall :( .

I'm looking for some way to temporarily disable cave-in detection until the winter is over so I can avoid having my fort crushed under a ton of ice.  I browsed through the dfhack commands I could find and didn't see anything.  Does anybody have any advice?

Thanks.

*edit* Just saw that it's an option in the init file.  Derp.  Checking now if that works on an already-started game.

*edit 2* Yep, it does.  NEVER MIND THEN.
