glass cage or granit chest

hi every one
i found a funy place magma+ sand + unlimitet granit thanks to aquifiler ...
i have thouth same questions:
1)which materiele is valuabel for use in outdoor bildings?
green glass bloks
granit bloks
smoothed granit walls?
(like with beton  :D magma+ water on surface)
2)is it real that glass is magma proof? i read it in wiki but not found in raws

...unlimited granite? Surely you mean unlimited obsidian due to magma + aquifer?

Anyway, do whatever you want. I built a little wall around my trading depot outside which alternates between obsidian and alunite, except for the corners which are made from granite. Should maybe have made it out of alunite and granite with obsidian corners (the dark grey and white is a big contrast, while white and light grey wouldn't be so bad), but it still looks quite good  :)

And to my knowledge, glass is not magma-proof, no. You can make walls and stuff out of glass and they won't melt away, but you can do the same bloody thing with wooden walls and anyone who says that wood is magma-proof would probably be thrown in a pool of magma to see if THEY are magma-proof  :p
