Will enemies attack each other?

Hey
I've got some cage-captured goblins and humans from recent sieges. I was curious whether, if I built an arena and dropped them out of their cages, would they attack each other? Or would they just stand around talking?

humans and goblins should fight. Animals generally don't

Well, depending on the circumstances. I had released a human weregecko into a bunch of trolls, goblins, and a minotaur while in werebeast form and while it did attack in that form, after it changed back to human, he was left alone. Although the minotaur did attempt a swing or two at one point but the guy must have been very agile.

His agility didn't save him from my marksdwarves bolts since the live firing range is what I had pitted them all in.
