You order the scrap-men to hide. The hordesmen charge and your soldiers isolate the lion-rider. He snaps his whip and fires his gun. The whip disarms one of your soldiers, and the lion pounces on him. The bullets fly into the ground harmlessly. One of your soldiers manages to pull the rider off of his lion. As he lands, he reaches for his side-arm. You blast his arm with rock-salt and he concedes defeat.

The horsemen are quickly put down, at the cost of two more mercenaries. The lion is captured, but his victim doesn't live very long. You're down a total of three troops, but you now have a white lion, a noble hostage and a steel whip. You only have a little while before the sun sets and you'll need to rest.

What are you going to do before nightfall?

A. Interrogate the noble. Those Golden Horde nobles all know a little bit of scrap-tongue, and he should have some interesting tales to tell about why he's strayed this far north.

B. Tame the lion. You need a mount anyway, and riding a white lion would strike fear in the hearts of your enemies.

C. Prepare to travel through the night. This place is more dangerous than you thought. You need to regroup with Julianus The Killer as soon as possible.
