Mining highest moodable skill?
« on: August 26, 2013, 12:49:54 am »

So a dwarf (Who is a miner) just got a fey mood, and he took over the mason's shop and made a throne. I thought 'awesome, new fort and first mood is something useful.' Then I checked Dwarf Therapist to swap him out with my current Mason, only to discover the XP he got from it went into mining. I hover my mouse over it to double check to see if maybe I remembered the wrong name, and lo and behold I see 'highest moodable skill' on the tooltip.

So I guess my question is, is this normal with this mod? I know Meph had to mess with some of the skills in order to make some stuff work, but this has to be a bug. Or is it?

So then I assume that it's normal in the current build? Since people know about it, I mean.

Yeah, its vanilla. Even in unmodded DF your miner can get a mood.

So can engravers. It's irritating when your whole hauling labor force has their highest moodable skill in engraving.

Only assign non moodable jobs to dwarves en massé, everything else should be micromanaged to maximize the amount of moodable weapon and armorsmiths
