Lost Prince
Dulce bellum inexpertis.
War is sweet to those that have never fought.

Welcome, to the far-flung future. You are an abandoned prince, one who ran from the confines of nobility and politics. One who abandoned his title for the carefree life of peasantry. He who ran from his people to his people, to his people. You have run away and posed as a poor peasant that lost his farm due to the barbarian invaders. You are in the backwater world of Agria, far from the frontlines of the Crusades, and nowhere near the Holy Planet of Rome.

Times have been hard. The galaxy had been populated many years ago, and mankind nearly dominated the Milky Way. But there was an accident known as The Original Sin; a vast cosmic storm that cut supply lines and disconnected Humanity for nearly 20,000 years. One planet took initiative, known to us as Earth, but now renamed Holy Rome, and recaptured nearly 25% of the galaxy. The outside invaders wish to overtake Rome, and so the Crusade was initiated. Many peasants and knights flew off to ward off attackers and take back what belongs to Humanity.

This, however, does not concern you. You've given up on the matter, and taken up the mantle of a farmboy. The public don't know of your status; only major officials of both the Nobility and The Church know of your real lineage to the Holy Roman Emperor.

You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.

Humble Beginnings
Acta non verba
Deeds, not words.

You are Ueki Schroff, son of Isambard and Livia Schroff. You work as a farmhand on Schroff Agrifarm, located in the village of Oedenreuth. You live with your sister Yvon Schroff, and tend to the sheep and wheat. Today is an average day; the sun shining above, the breeze cool, and the sound of sheep echoing through the air. Your sister continues managing the other farmhands weeding the wheat fields, while you count the sheep. Everything is normal and boring, unlike the hectic life of a prince. You look around, and seeing as though there is no one watching, you fall asleep.

Suddenly, you are stirred from your nap as the sound of galloping horses trots down the dirt path to your side. You cough from the dust, and get up quickly. You see the carriage stopping right out of the gate, and you see Father and Sister kneeling before the fat man stepping down from the carriage. The carriage suddenly jumps up as soon as the heavy cargo of a man is escorted out by his menservants. You head towards them, making sure to lock the pen to ensure the sheep don't escape. Again. You see the other farmhands heading over to Father and bowing beside him.

When you arrive, you see the fat man stooping over Father and beating him with a cane. You rush towards him, but his guard blocks you. Yvon rises and charges towards the fat man, knocking him over. The fat man squeals, and has his slaves pull him up. His guard grabs Yvon as the man strokes her face.

"Hm? Pretty young girl. Fetch a mighty nice price, eh? Yes, she'll compensate for the debts you owe me, Schroff."

Your father's eyes spring open, getting up and charging towards the man, but is knocked down by the guard.

"You fat bastard, Hebert! Take what you want, but leave my daughter out of this!"

"Watch your tongue, peasant! I am Baron Hebert, now. And, as such, I control all the taxes of this village! Your daughter will suffice for this month." he says, sniffing Yvon's neck.

Your brow furrows, and you take your sling and fire a rock at the portly baron. The rock firs straight towards the man, knocking him straight in the forehead. He falls to the ground, screaming. His guard rushes to him, picking him back up. Meanwhile you pull another stone, and fire once more. It hits the back of the guard, who glares at you and charges. He knocks you to the ground and beats you. Punches one after another. The fat man is helped up by his slaves, holding his bleeding head with a napkin, encouraging the guard to continue beating you.

Yvon rushes towards the guard, and beats him on the head with a cane. The guard falls to the ground, writhing and grunting. The guard angrily gets up and heads towards the carriage, helping the wounded pig up before entering himself. The baron glares at you, and the carriage heads off.

"Yvon, Ueki. What have ya done? The nobles will have our heads!"

"I protected Ueki and you from the corrupt baron." Yvon answers, face straight as if nothing happened.

Your father shakes his head. "And I'm grateful. But you two should learn to respect your place at the hierarchy. A fish cannot fly as an eagle does."

It's been two days since what happened, and things have gone back to normal. You continue taking care of the flock, and Yvon continues to take care of the wheat fields. You continue your scheduled nap, but you are once again interrupted by the sound of horses. You turn to see the Guard galloping towards the farm, fully armed with swords and torches.  They charge in the farm, cutting down the servants and setting fire to the crops. You pick up your sling, and aim a stone at one of the guardsmen.

Yvon puts her hand on your shoulder, beckoning you to run away. You see Mother taking the family heirlooms and valuables, while Father gathers the other children and farmhands.

What do you do?
>Run
>Fight
