it seems to act exactly like a vampire. otherwise harmless special ability. not sure if it kills faster though.

I suggest DFHack (you can use it to determine how much blood a creature currently has), and a larger test animal.

i do not have DF hack, but i can confirm that it sucks a certain amount of blood each time. i did it again with a giant grey langur and it took three stabbings to completely drain it of blood.

apparently the blood sucking ability only works when it stabs something.
