Destroying stuck object
« on: August 16, 2013, 04:13:31 pm »

I am currently trying to build a magma lift using minecarts, but one of the carts got stuck on the bottom floor because of an roller setting error. The problem is (because the cart is filled with magma?) My dwarfs won't touch the cart or de-construct the roller it is stuck on even though I drained the floor of magma. Is there any way I can manually destroy the minecart? I don't mind cheating.

I have never tried anything of the sort, but would obsidian casting the cart solve the problem? You can flood the floor with magma, after al.

Obsidian cast the magma, then you should be able to mine out the affected area and get the stuff back that way.

dfhack's autodump command is perfect for situations like this.
