Can you erase channels once you build them?

Thanks,
Dave

Unfortunately, no. It's not possible at this time. On the bright side, it -is- on the fix list!

I think you can do it by engineering cave-ins. But that's hardly an ideal method, for obvious reasons  :)

Yep, you can dig a 7x7 area that includes the channel and hope that when it collapses it will collapse over the channel.

And seeing as how IIRC channels will use the new Z axis we'll get in the next version, I'm pretty sure they'll be reversible in the next "patch"

But what do I know?
Everything I say should be taken with atleast 1 tsp. of salt, and another liter of Dwarven Wine is recommended.

Bizarrely, I've seen charred mud squares randomly pop up in magma channels and erase the channel squares. No idea what happened with that.

I would assume that's a side effect of the magma running over what used to be a Young tower cap or shrub where the channel was built.  I've noticed green channels wherever I build them over top of a baby mushroom or shrub.
