Ha. A helpful user on reddit, some random factor ag brought in, and testing with a unpatched exe showed the source of a crash. The main sources of crashes, I do believe.
Every time a creature died of infection, the game crashed 100% of the time. I suspect frostbite to do the same, other death causes possibly as well. I did replace their strings in the string dump with longer, more atmospheric messages, but these proofed to be too long.
This is the example that crashed the game:
succumbed to infection. => succumbed to infection. After a long battle against sickness and necrosis, the corrupted flesh has found its way into the heart.
HA! Next version of the mod will include this crash-fix, and with spatter-add fixed, this random hive-crash fixed, and this... Wow, I am very optimistic all of a sudden.
