Hey all, I was wondering, once I extract everything for Masterwork and run it, an error comes up saying 'Cannot reach Dwarf Fortress directory' or something like that.

I need to know what the solution to this is.

What are you trying to run? Because the DF.exe is in the same place as always...

I was trying to run the mod, but I just said fuck it and went to get modest mod, so I'm trying to run it now.

Okay, so now I go to run dwarf fortress.exe, and it says it's missing something. "Not found: data/art/curses_640x300.png" specifically.

Easiest solution would probably to download the file again, unpack it into "MasterworkDF V3e", and run Settings.exe/DwarfFortress.exe. Because I have no idea how you broke it. The mod doesnt even use the 640x300 ascii tileset.

Okay, I'll go back and re-download it. I'll come back if I have any problems, but..

I did use winrar to unpack it. Does that hurt it any?

EDIT: I may have to download .net framework..That's what keeps popping up after I try running settings.exe, it tells me either to continue, quit and details.

EDIT: Never mind. I already have it. I don't know what I did. But this just means I won't be able to play DF due to lag issues. Sad.

You dont need the Settings.exe. Try running the DwarfFortress.exe. You will get the full mod, with default settings. Ony thing missing would be Orc/Kobold playable race.
