Extra Large Masterwork World using Cheat Engine questions
« on: August 02, 2013, 12:21:52 am »

I found that I can adjust the max size of the map (i.e. 127 vs 257) to whatever I want.  I was thinking of trying to gen a 1025x1025 world (advanced parameters of course), using the recommended worlds.

i've already been doing this to get middle range worlds, like 99x99, and have noticed that the diverse world comes out a bit like a wrap-around affect, I'm wondering if truncating the dimensions is throwing off the "lake in the middle" look (I had one where it looked like half the lake was on the e side, and the other half on the w side).

Anyways, I noticed the numbers change in the parameter's based on the size of the world, ex 33x33 vs 127x127 has some different base numbers for creatures amounts, year amounts, etc.

I wanted to know what ratios I should maintain for creatures, and any other important settings.

I don't really want a long world (as it will take too long to full gen), maybe 20-100 years.

Anyways, any help would be much appreciated.

Everything you need: http://dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/DF2012:Advanced_world_generation

And have a look at the included Perfect World utility, it allows much more to be altered. You can paint entire custom worlds, thats how I made the ice-world look like my avatar for example. The readme is also included in the download.
