« on: October 29, 2007, 10:11:00 pm »

Why hello everyone. I'm looking to build my fortress near humans (Like next to them.), but how do I do it?

The z-axis is killing me.

You can build it right on top of them if you want. Just go to the site location screen. Find a tile with a settlement, and use u, m, h, and k to move your actual site. Notice the lower case letters. Upper case letters resize your site. I couldn't do it with caves or dwarf settlements, though.

Although in the game I just started, the humans weren't officially "there" at the beginning. They were walking around and the buildings were all there, but a few minutes in, I got a message stating that "A group of human migrants, The Messianic Council of Deer, has decided to stay."

Sorry, I forget. In the local view, you should see a square of pound signs.

Human settlements are grey asterisks (*) on the Region View.  Not visible on the World Map.
