Help catching large animals

I made a silkworm that you can milk for thread but i cant catch the beastie!! I have added the pet tags and and tame tags but i cant catch one in my wooden traps all my trappers get are little birds and lizards and toads, the silkworms are roaming about and i cant catch them any ideas?
