Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Though this is the second attempt, I died to the robot on the first try.

Do you purposely fail missions ever? I find it helps knock off those vital seconds spent escorting people back to the elevator.

I always failed missions if it would help me. I also teleported to the opposite elevator if the missions were closer to it.

Heya, I'm the creator of this game.  Just wanted to say that I drop in occasionally to check this thread, glad to see the constructive discussion.

Also cool to see the beginnings of speedrunning.  In the future, I want to facilitate this sort of thing better.  The game will be getting leaderboards (online and off) and "mutator challenges" that can do things like limit the amount of time you have to complete levels.

That's great. Honestly, biggest plus for me right now is an endless mode. Maybe randomize the level tileset and just have you keep going after the official demo ends. That way if you want to continue from there you can, but stats and time will no longer be counted from then on.

That would be cool! Also, that reminds me that I should start emailing all those suggestions that have been piling up in my head.

I'd definitely like to add an endless mode at some point.  I suppose the biggest the main issue at the moment is that constant nagging voice saying "you have to hold some things back for the Steam version".  The same goes for the home base, and basically any sort of progression, unlocks, etc.  The initial motivation behind putting out the free alphas was to get feedback and bug reports on the base game -- all that extra stuff doesn't require a ton of testing.

I'll say this though -- based on the feedback I get, if you're getting to the end of the game consistently enough that you'd actually need an endless mode, you're probably a better player than 90% of everybody.

That would be cool! Also, that reminds me that I should start emailing all those suggestions that have been piling up in my head.
Ya, do it.

Ah, just dropping by to say you've definitely got a buyer when it's done. Loved the game, just played it to death and I'm waiting til release so it's all new again.

And then, they will be weaponized. Like everything in this game, from kittens to babies, everything is a potential device of murder.
So if baseless speculation is all we have, we might as well treat it like fact.

A lil update.  The game just launched on Steam Early Access, and it's free to play all weekend!

Check it out!

Nice. Will definitely give it a try.

Thanks for being so generous and letting us all have a quick go at it to decide if we want the final release. Hopefully you'll get some more sales out of it (I'll happily pick it up if I enjoy it).

Sweet. I've been constantly watching this thread and wondering when I would pick it up, but I'm a little burnt out on the Early Access experience. I'd like to play more complete games more often. But the free weekend seems like a good compromise to that. Thanks!

Are there hackers in the game or something? I was playing with a friend in an online multiplayer game and another player managed to get into our passworded match and used a ridiculous amount of weaponry against us.
