LNP and Headdesk

Alright, so I just got through the nanodwarf thread and figured I'd like to catch up on all the latest fixes from the DF Hack team as well as get the new LNP.

So, I, um... apparently got the V13 version for DF2012 and it installed everything, I've never done this from scratch doing each piece uniquely and I'm failing my google-fu training in figuring out how to.

The newest version of LNP that I'm aware of is here:

Woot, alright... but there's no DFHack in there, not that I can see.... nor a bin for DF 0.34.11 either.  Directly running it is malfunctioning horribly.

It looks like the most recent DFHack build is here: http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=7207

Can someone point me in the right direction?  I may simply be brainfarting but I'm not sure how to get the two to talk to each other, if that's what I'm supposed to do.

DFhack R3 should be preinstalled with that thing.   you should be able to just unzip that download into a directory, run the LNP launcher and tell it to run DF.   both DF and DFhack should come up automaticly.

The first link (PeridexisErrant Lazy Newb Pack r21) contains everything, you don't need to get the dfhack. Just unzip the file somewhere and run the Lazy Newb Pack.exe.

Unfortunately, it doesn't.

I'll provide screenshots if you'd like, but the zip extract directory requires me to go into bin and then launch the .exe.  That exe can't find anything to work with, and errors on launch.

Then get another another zip extractor, because the error is on your computer. I downloaded, extracted, run the LNP.exe and it works out of the box.

Make sure you actually extract it somewhere. It sounds a bit like you're running it from the zip, which won't work well/at all.

Sorry, I realize what I did wrong now.  I went into the link FOR the LNP then downloaded, instead of directly from that page.  It's down in the (now) crossed out section.  Whoops.
