Pocket Worlds and Visitors

Does the population of a world have a bearing on traders, seiges, etc?

Basically, I know if the civ doesn't exist you won't see them come. My questions are:

A: If you're closer to a goblin site will you get more frequent and/or stronger seiges and ambushes?

B: If the world is Standard and there are a lot of humans, do they trade more robustly than in a pocket world with just one small human town?

C: If there is just one human town, and you kill all the traders every time, will you run out of humans?

D: Is there any way to encourage population growth in neighbors? I know exporting more will make more visitors come, but is that separate from civ population?

E: When we speak of civ population, is the population of your fort counted along with the original dwarven site you started out from?

Thanks!

The answer is no to everything except D.

As it is, all you need is civilization contact and the game will just spawn units at the edge of the map when the time arrives. There could only be 4 goblins in the world and 1 human, but in fortress mode, it'll be like normal.

D is probably, but how do you know what the civ population is right now?
