HUZZAH, I HAVE AN IDEA!

Y'know how dwarfs can starve in cages (IIRC)? Well, if we contaminated a water supply with vampiric blood, and then had a GCS trap next to a few rows of cages, then HUZZAH THEY SHALL NOT STARVE! As long as we keep our chosen dwarfs (read: nobles and fisherdwarfs) in a burrow without everyone else, it shall be PERFECT.

I remember once I encountered a human fortress with goblin slaves. I talked to the slaves a bit- they were very civil- but couldn't get them to join my adventuring party. They weren't historical figures, so I could never read up in legends mode how exactly they became slaves, but there were several generations of them.
