[General] Bug reports and known issues
« on: June 20, 2013, 12:19:18 pm »

Figured I'd start a new thread for stuff that's not particular to a playable race.

Rock pigeons (BIRD_ROCK_PIGEON_FF) in creature_ff.txt have no biomes and aren't domestic. As far as I know this would mean they aren't genned as they have no place to live...?
Edit: No biome for putrid blendecs either (BLENDECFD creature_fortdefense.txt)

That explains why Blendecs haven't shown up in my recent world-gens!  I thought they were just getting wiped out early or something.

This only explains the putrid blendecs; foul blendecs have a biome though there's a bug there too:
Quote
   [BIOME:ANY_LAND][BIOME:FOREST_TEMPERATE_BROADLEAF]
   [BIOME:ANY_LAND][BIOME:FOREST_TROPICAL_CONIFER]
   [BIOME:ANY_LAND][BIOME:FOREST_TROPICAL_DRY_BROADLEAF

There's actually a few critters that define ANY_LAND and specific land biomes. I know blink dogs are another one.

Your mainpage for the mod links to the original dwarftherapist vs Splinterz.  A minor caveat, but it could cause confusion when/if people need support

So I figured out that the fortress defence races have the creatures defined in the raws, even if the actual races are turned off. I've also figured out that the putrid blendecs are a fortress defence race... so they're defined the way they're supposed to be.

Yes indeed. Blendecs appear in the wild, but the fortress defense races (and many other creatures) are not naturally occuring.

In the 3c some of the keybinds went crazy. I got "f" (forbid item from general window) and it zoom in. oO Change to laptop keybinds and back fixed the problem.

Yeah, noticed that too.  Thanks for the workaround.

"f" needs to be deleted from ingame keybindings. Go ESC keybinding>general>zoom in> select f and click backspace

I have a diffrent binding problem with mdf and can't really check to see if that could work.
Basically, for whatever reason, when i select weapon from stockpile menu, it suddenly goes into q mode with "no workshops availible".

Not sure if this has been mentioned before: the packaged dfinit doesn't know about the track settings. Makes it rather annoying to use actually as it renders a popup window for each setting it doesn't know about during saving.

I've also had this problem, figured it was something weird with my laptop.

I've also had weapon stockpile designations go to query mode.
